Where is my oomph?

I’ve been trying to work on one of my projects a little everyday.

It’s hard.

I would almost equate it with trying to exercise everyday. It’s like exercise sometimes especially when you need to work your creative part of your brain really hard to force yourself to continue the story.

And I really want to finish these projects soon. Really.

I’m serious.

I asked a Wattpad user how long it took to finish their book.

They said, “a year”.

It took me 7 years to finish writing one book! That’s some heck of a lot of dedication and productivity and, and…

But maybe that’s because I have other things going on in my life.

Like…life. Not saying that user doesn’t have a life. They do, just I have other passions, too.

Also, I tend to frequently stop at Procrastination Station and that’s never a good thing when you’re a writer.

But I am determined to finish my projects, guys.

At least maybe a first or second draft.

I just need to find my oomph.

Not my Heffalumps and Woozles.

Speaking of, I would have to say that’s one of the most crazy “Alice in Wonderland”-like moments of Winnie the Pooh. I mean, the very fact that Pooh is practically a walking, talking teddy bear is crazy but that Heffalumps and Woozles moment was the craziest. On top of that, if you’ve ever watched Winnie the Pooh’s adventures, you might remember that Tigger only had to mention Heffalumps and Woozles. He didn’t even say what they looked like and yet Pooh has such weird and vivid dreams about them complete with a whole song.

If he can dream, does Pooh have a brain?

He had a small piece of fluff in his ear…which probably came out of his head??? :0

Does that mean you can dream even if your head is stuffed with cotton???

Anyway, I just need to find my oomph, my little oomph to write.

You know,

oomph.

I don’t know how else to describe it. It’s the feeling you get so that you can do productive things.

Pretend you didn’t just read that.

P.S. Here’s my shopping wishlist. I’m not pressuring you to buy things for me. I’m really not.

My Shopping Wishlist

  1. Oomph
  2. More oomph

So if you ever see it on sale on Amazon or something, let me know. I could always use a bit extra.
