Eryn Maryanna Kingsly is the main character in Between Roses.
Maryanna is from her grandmother and Eryn does not like this middle name because “it just sounds old” in her eyes.

Personality: She might come off as tough or rude, but Eryn’s just trying to be like her popular friend Celeste. She’s a follower type in the beginning for sure, and is worried that if she doesn’t do it like her friend says, she would end up single and lonely, and very much alone. She recognizes that sometimes Celeste is ridiculous and a part of her realizes she herself can be quite a “bee” sometimes. “Bee” is her and Celeste’s kid-friendly made-up word for “b***h”.

Hairstyle: Short hair to her shoulders. Some bangs like the illustration.
Fashion Style: Urban (often washed jeans or her favorite purple jeans with the flared edges), Minimal (no fancy designs), Matching (coordination is key). To make her green eyes pop, she often wears some sort of green accessory somewhere (a bracelet, an anklet, a choker, a headband, an earring) or makeup (eye shadow, eyeliner on her waterline).

Fan of: Higgy’s Beauty and the Judge , the Mamma Mia musical (with Meryl Streep) to the point where she owns the DVD and the CD (2 copies of each just in case)
Favorite Word: “defashionizing” A word she made up pointing to those (guys especially) who wear their shirts inside out, tuck their shirts in their pants, tuck their pants in their socks, or wear pants that are too short or do all of it. Also points to girls who put on way too much blush on their cheeks.
Type of Guy: Eryn likes guys with dimples on their cheeks when they smile. She likes guys that are willing to take care of her but not to the point of being protective. She appreciates when people are vulnerable with her and when they see her as herself and accept her for who she is. Still, Eryn believes she is a strong girl who can take care of herself and has everything under control.
Status at School: Popular along with her best friend Celeste Gilmore for their fashion, beauty, and parties (hosted at the Gilmore residence in the affluent side of town). She and Celeste have a small party planning website. They plan people’s (students’) parties together and get paid.
Currently Into: Fashion, browsing the web for animal memes.
Pets: No pets, but she wants to get a teacup pig one day and call it Shnoodles.
Favorite Animals: cats, piglets, guinea pigs, ferrets, flying squirrels, elephants, llamas, hedgehogs, and adelie penguins.
Hobbies: She used to play the flute but she got bored after 2 years, making a playlist that tells a story (she currently has 5, each for a different mood), shopping, watching every TV show and movie with Xavier Notch in it.
One Interesting Thing About Eryn: When she was seven, she somehow taught herself to do a back flip on the trampoline and land on her feet. Today, she can still do it but only for her family or best friend Celeste whom she knew since they were five.
