Note: I wrote this poem in college. But I’ve always been terrible at math. It was only fun when it was easy…really easy.
The brain was working heavily to
understand the information that was
thrown on it.
But, of course, it was hopeless.
The hand was moving on the paper
using the pen to write the numbers.
But, of course, it was like writing
caveman language.
The eyes were reading the writing
on the whiteboard.
But, of course, it was pointless.
The teacher was explaining some
math that people discovered long ago.
So, of course, it was a foreign language.
People seem to think that math makes you smart.
But, of course, it turns you into a dummy.
That’s why
I HATE MATH!
